Review of artist's book by Love Jonsson, lecturer, craft and design critic, Gotenborg, 2006
"The author, Monika Auch, found the right balance between biography and integrity in the fragmentary story that is evoked by the text and images. If the story is autobiographical or literary doesn't matter to me. The tactility of the book itself adds to the intimacy one can experience while reading it. There is a fascinating correspondence between the ripped and fragmentary images on the right and the lone sentences on the left handside; they are all just shards, waiting perhaps to be put together. Indeed, no more is being said than necessary, and in the Arts that's a virtue." for ordering info go to : gallery - books
