Fragile threedimensionality
Interview with Marian Bijlenga, an internationally known Dutch fiber artist. She talks about nearly 30 years of practice as an artist, her techniques and methods of making, her travels and inspiration. Her wall hangings, artist’s book, work in glass and recent fish scale hangings are all connected with nature. Her tranparent fiber work is put into a wider context with examples of contemporary innnovative lacemaking.
